Fred was born in Paris and has extensively travelled in India for the last ten years. A photography and film lover since his young age, his work is the result of his desire to observe the lives of his contemporaries, lives made of small things essential. An insatiable traveler, always keen for intense encounters and cultural experiences, he has become an India specialist over the years, a country to which a great part of his photography is dedicated today. His approach tends to explore all the nuances and the diversity of Indian society, in which traditions and modernity live side by side, forever juxtaposed, thus forming a series of striking contrasts. Humans and their realities are his main interests and instead of hiding behind the lens his camera becomes a means of communication with his subjects, often resulting in fascinating and memorable encounters.
